Monday to Friday our telephone lines are open from 8.00 am - 6.30 pm.
On a daily basis if you require an urgent appointment, with an acute medical emergency you can either choose to have a telephone consultation with the GP or you may be offered an Urgent appointment with a GP on the day you are calling.
Emergencies take priority at all times, so be prepared for unavoidable delays.

This service will operate from 6.30pm - 8.00am on weekdays and 24 hours at weekends and on Public Holidays.
To access this service, ring 111 where an assessment will be made by an experienced Triage Nurse. You will then be either given advice over the telephone, a home visit, an appointment at Northwich Infirmary NEW Centre or Leighton Hospital, or referred to a Community Pharmacist or other services.
If you have an emergency and if a Doctor is not available immediately, please make use of the EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE by dialling 999.
For urgent problems during surgery hours, please telephone 01606 544644. Surgery hours are between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Monday to Friday. In an emergency outside the surgery hours, please telephone 111 between 6.30 pm and 8.00 am, or the surgery number where you will automatically be put through to ‘Out of Hours’.
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 on 111 to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
PLT Dates 2018
On these days the practice closes for dedicated learning time. The morning surgery is as normal and we close at 1pm and reopen at 5pm.
In case of an emergency please phone NHS 111 on 111.
We now offer consultations via Skype or Facetime (if you have an iPhone). If you are interested in this and would like a consultation with a GP via Skype or Facetime please ask when making your appointment.
Dr Shuaib sadly passed away in November - he was an excellent family GP at Swanlow and we are sure many of you will remember him with very fond memories, we certainly do.
Dr Washbrook is still on Maternity Leave and is due to return early June 2018.
Olwen Gaskell our Practice Nurse has now left Swanlow - Olwen had a long period of sickness and at this time is unable to continue working with us. Olwen is a fantastic nurse and was an integral part of the nursing team. We wish Olwen a speedy recovery.
Dr Peter Evans who has been with us training to be a GP will sadly be leaving us in February 2018. Dr Evans has been a credit to Swanlow and we know that colleagues and patients alike will miss him. We wish him every success in his chosen career as a GP.
We will be getting a new ST1 - a qualified doctor who is getting experience of working in a a GP practice for 6 months. Welcome to Dr Ffion Edge who starts in February 2018.
